Retaining wall
increases the beauty of a site as well as add to the area's utility,
recreational and gardening space. Envision Landscaping provides three
different kinds of wall systems: natural rock, concrete modular block,
and railroad tile or treated lumber. There are many types of natural
rock that come in a variety of different colors and textures. Some
people prefer natural rock because of its natural look and texture.
Concrete blocks are likely architectural look and more unit form. They
can be used to create straight or curved, corners, steps. Blocks also
come in different colors, textures and forms. Most of the units are
designed to be self-aligning and use a patented interlocking system that
molds the stones to each other, so they remain stable and solid.
Railroad tiles or treated lumbers can be built stable as well, though
they are built in straight only, and not long lasting. Some people
prefer to use railroad tiles or treated lumber for economic
reasons.
Terraces
Homeowner's terraces / planters are
often built on a slope that either doesn't hold enough moisture for
plants to thrive or the soil is unstable. Terraces can increase the
beauty of the site while adding to the area's planting space. Using
natural rock, modular concrete block, or treated lumber, terraces are
built the same way as retaining walls. The difference is that
terraces are built on more than one tier that is specifically used
